We sited the property on the Saturday and immediately handed in application forms. Monday afternoon we received the call saying that our application was successful and we were trying to arrange removal for later that week. Tuesday we signed rental forms and by Tuesday afternoon we received another call saying that we were moving the following morning... AARRGGHHH. We were in the process of enjoying the concept of being able to relax for a day! Instead we had to think about the 'pack-up' from the hotel - a huge task in itself! Luckily the removal truck wasn't arriving till midday giving us some time to clear out.
A very busy Wednesday afternoon was spent being reunited with toys, beds and coffee machines! The coffee machine was one of the last items to be unloaded but oh so nice when I saw it again! Despite the joy of seeing the coffee machine we were frustrated as damaged furniture upon furniture were making its way inside. We now have a list of over 30 damaged items including 2 boxes that never even arrived. An emotional day as we saw chunks of wood taken out of our dining table, bookshelf and large scratches on our outdoor setting just to name a few. And... as for some of my Tupperware - it has disappeared!
However, we are now enjoying living in a new house and enjoying the pool. Thomas and Zach have started swimming lessons and Harry has tried (and succeeded) in diving from his floating ring. A funny site when you see two little legs stuck in the air! Thomas is now swimming without the use of earplugs, headbands and floating devices and has learnt to jump in the pool and swim to the edge. Zach has recently recovered from an ear infection after water got in at the water park which has knocked his confidence. Harry will most probably be swimming on his own in another few months!!
The main bathroom has a spa. Although labeled the 'main' bathroom it is only half the size of our ensuite! The master bedroom takes up the end of the house, including a walk in robe and a sliding door (you can't use it) that opens out to the pool. The ensuite is HUGE with two shower heads although we can't say we've had a moment to take advantage of this yet!
Anyway, moving right along! The boys have discovered the spa bath! 'Can we have bubbles tonight?' they ask every night at dinner. As I usually bath Harry first I forget how much soap wash I use until I see the boys once the bubbles are on. Oops!
