Our first trip to the Townsville Hospital

We have been in Townsville 6 weeks today and had our first visit to Emergency last night! Thomas woke around 12.30am with croup. A bizarre event as there was no existing cold and it was the most severe incident of croup we have encountered so far. After Zachy's incident of RSV virus I don't handle breathing difficulties very well so thank God Matt was home to be the sense of rationality and calm! We are also thankful for the wonder drug redipred which settles the cough and breathing within minutes. Without the redipred, we would have also had our first Ambulance ride!! Matt took Thomas to the Hospital where they couldn't do much else except observe Thomas as we had already given him the dose of redipred (I was hoping a new script of the drug would come home but no such luck!) Matt and Thomas were home by 3am and all asleep againg by 3.30. Thomas was such a trooper and had won the hearts of the nurses when he would ask, 'Can I go home now plese?'!
Thomas is home from preprep today despite his high spirits and minimal coughing and a busy day of bible study and lunch with some of the squadron ladies are all cancelled!

Glad to be here with you and that the temperature isn't too hot.
I love the place and it is great that you have a pool.
