The day has come. We have a house full of boxes and we are currently staying at the Quest Apartments at Spring Hill. A late night last night found us packing more boxes and suitcases, sorting out the pantry and getting ready for camping.
The boys and I had another full day yesterday attending our last playgroup morning. The girls gave us a farewell gift of freshly ground coffee and caramel syrup flavouring for our coffee - excellent! Am I obsessed with coffee?! We will miss our Wednesday mornings but look forward to hearing all the news through Cath's blog!
The afternoon took us out to DFO to buy new suitcases for the boys. The time has come for them to have one each. Just by the amount of luggage we have we appear to have a rather large family!
We had our last 2 coffees from the coffee machine this morning and despite the results from the voting poll strongly agreeing to keep the machine with us, Matt put his foot down and said 'it must be packed', and I submitted! Matt also said something about his power of veto over congress!
The boys had a wonderful time playing with their good friends BJ, Annie and Lucy in the morning and then at Amelie's in the afternoon. Thank you so much Ang and Cath for all your babysitting.
And... here we are. No coffee machine. This is the most complex move we have ever had with camping in NSW, driving back to Brisbane, driving to Melb, driving back to Brisbane and then on to Townsville. We also worked out that when Thomas turns four he will be moving into his fifth house! Thomas is already calling our house the 'old' house and it gets rather confusing having so many 'old' houses!
Setting the scene: In the car driving to the hotel
Mum: We've stayed at this hotel before. Do you remember?
Thomas: Yeah. When mum?
Dad: We stayed here when we were moving last time.
Thomas: Oh! When we moved to our other old home?
