A monthly event the kids absolutely love! The Officer's Mess at the RAAF base hold a family buffet once a month with a jumping castle, face painting and balloons for the kids.
Every month is a different menu and so far it has included Indian, Thai, Japanese and Italian. The evening is kicked off with food for the kids (chicken nuggets, frankfurts, chips etc) followed by a buffet of great food for the adults.
The 'Kool Kids' workers supervise the jumping castle, make balloons (balloon swords are a real hit with the boys!) and face paint elaborate pictures while the adults enjoy a relatively peaceful (and sometimes uninterrupted) meal.
The boys look forward to the buffet every month and it has proven to be a great bargaining tool for good behaviour in the week leading up to the night!
