Two very excited boys met grandma and grandpa at the Townsville aiport last Friday evening which started a very busy weekend indeed! Saturday morning was spent taking grandma and grandpa for a walk along the strand (while the boys rode their bikes), swimming in the stinger enclosures, stopping for ice-cream and hot chips, and eventually making our way back to the water park for a morning play. A number of our friends were also along the strand this particular Saturday morning... we met up with people at cafe Juliette's and again at the water park. An invitation was extended to a couple of the 'single' mums (army wives with husbands on course and deployed) for an afternoon swim at our place. The boys woke from their midday sleep with more action as kids arrived for an afternoon of swimming... extending to a roast dinner for all! Needles to say, we all had a great day but were all exhausted by the time the kids went to bed!
Sunday was an early morning church service at 8.30am followed by 'auto-pilot lunch' not realizing it was only 10.30! Oh well! The boys caught up on a bit of sleep - as did we all. A wrestle on the floor, another swim in the pool before a trip back to the strand where the boys were back in the water with grandpa in the rock pool.
Sunday evening was perfect for fish and chips with a lovely (and almost cold!)sea breeze. Matt and I even scored an evening out at the movies while mum and dad put the kids to bed - a rarity and oh so nice!!

Monday was back to work and school. A very busy weekend but a good one!
