Despite ending up at the Doctor in Ingham early Saturday morning for a sinus infection we all had a relaxing weekend. Although I was fairly useless on Saturday as I tried not to move my head, Matt was wonderful and spent the day running around with the boys. The boys were also entertained playing with the other children, taking short rainforest walks and splashing in the freshwater creek. Night time was spent toasting marshmellows by the fire and enjoying the company of new friends once the children were asleep.
We enjoyed spending time with the Steel's - also a family of all boys. Timothy and Thomas are in the same class at preprep and Pete is Matt's boss. It was great to go camping with them and to observe how a mother of four boys survives! (As this is potentially me in October!!). Camping is an awesome family weekend when you have a family of boys! A boys heaven with a toilet at every turn, no showers for 3 days and plenty of space to run and play!
By Sunday afternoon Harry enjoyed a 'bath' and again on Monday when we packed up in the rain! Harry found the only drip between our tent and the tarp Matt had set up. With both of us busy packing up we neglected to notice that Harry was enjoying sticking his head, hand and neck under the dripping water, giggling when it tickled down his tummy! He was one wet little boy by the time we packed up!
The 'unpack' was a huge task and we spent all of Monday afternoon drying everything out, but the few days away was worth the work!
